So far I have used the pad twice and the only down side has been the low R value of the pad. During the 2nd night under a tarp I could feel the cold conducting from the ground. This was in May in the middle part of Finland, ambient temp around 9 C. The snow had melted away maybe three weeks earlier. The first night was actually chillier, around 4-5 C, but the ground wasn't as cold. Other than that I've been happy with the pad so far, it's light, easy to inflate with the supplied pump and thick enough for a side sleeper like me. I plan on using it mostly during the summer, so the low R value shouldn't be real problem.
