We don‘t want to suggest that cold fingers are the worst part of winter riding. Instead, we‘ll state it, explicitly, as an indisputable fact. Sometimes, the fear of cold digits is all that keeps us from logging our winter base miles. With the Pearl Izumi Elite Softshell Gloves, you don‘t have to worry about cold fingers. This means you have one less excuse to stay indoors during the winter, so while your wintertime fingers will love the Elite Softshell warmth, your springtime legs will enjoy the extra form you‘ve built up.
The Elite Softshell Gloves are named for their main fabric, PI Softshell, which insulates, blocks wind, and resists water so you can ride comfortably in all cold-weather conditions. This barrier is further buttressed with a fleecy interior, Primaloft One insulation, and Pearl‘s 1:1 gel padding in the synthetic leather palm to achieve a balance of bulk and warmth so you stay comfortable in temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit without completely losing touch with your handlebars. While the Elite Softshell lacks the additional waterproof lining and Pittards palm of its P.R.O. counterpart, it‘s just as effective at providing thermal protection.
The gloves also feature a conductive tip on the index finger and thumb for all your touchscreen needs, a hook-and-loop closure to keep them sealed against the elements, and a fleece wiping surface on the thumb for, you know, stuff. Reflective detailing helps keep you visible while riding in low-light conditions.
The Pearl Izumi Elite Softshell Gloves are available in five sizes ranging from Small to XX-Large in the colors Black and White.
