According to Craft's new 'sport-specific' collection of socks, its WARM Mid Socks were designed to correspond to the needs of a cyclist's feet while in motion. The socks were constructed with a blend of wool and polyamide, giving the socks a nice mid-to-heavy weight feel. With this composition, Craft built the socks to be worn specifically in cold weather conditions.
The socks have been channel-stitched throughout, and they've received ultra-thin uppers. As a result, warm air is allowed to circulate in order cool down your skin temperature. The polyamide material was applied to the socks using Craft's 'bodymapping' technology as a means to target specific pressure points on the foot with varying thicknesses of fabric. Across the arch of the foot, a lightweight mesh was applied in order to increase ventilation. Additionally, arched ribs line the sides of the socks, making sure that they don't shift while inside of your cycling shoes.
Wool was applied in the heel, and at a majority of the sole, in order to provide the ultimate in warmth and insulation. This is what distinguishes the 'warm' line from the 'active' line, as the active collection omits wool in the sole. Craft finished off its WARM Mid socks with mid-length Lycra cuffs for added leg coverage and muscle support.
The Craft WARM Mid Socks are available in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large and in the color Black/bright red.
