Alternatively it is easy to slip on over a thin functional shirt of merino wool and this makes it useful as a second insulating layer under a weather protection jacket.The mixed fabric of virgin wool, nylon and elastane is cleverly constructed, so that the core of the thread is made up of the robust synthetic fibres, and this core is surrounded by an outer casing of Merino wool. This structure produces a particularly tough, long lasting product with good wear resistance.
